Mine Eyes

Mine eyes have seen the thousand lies,
That have broken so many lives.

He is trampling out the villages,
Of both the innocent and unwise.

He has loosed the fateful lightning,
Of his powerful military swift sword.

He has gathered riches around Him,
In a mighty personal gilded hoard.

He will not see or hear it coming,
Like the chairman of the board.

When his loyalists all desert him,
And he is no longer the anointed lord.
