Creating Our Future

For a million years,
Homo roamed in fear.
Prehuman species,
Struggled, year to year.

There was no guarantee,
Anyone would survive.
Whims of the environment,
Determined dead or alive.

It's not exactly clear,
When Homo sapiens arrived,
Control over the environment,
Allowed some to grow, thrived.

But life was very uncertain,
Death came fast or slow.
Elders sought constants,
From above or below.

Gods softened nature's whims,
And comforted great pain.
Kept them warm and dry,
In the cold winter rain.

But the curious mind,
Never stood still.
It wanted to learn,
Climb the next hill.

From farming to cities,
From civilization power,
Progress was unstoppable,
Until the last hour.

In the long history of humanity,
Humans are now in control,
Of the course we will take,
Let the drums roll.

We are on the verge,
Of destroying our own nest.
And don't seem to notice it,
With each selfish quest.

It is only through cooperation,
And worldwide concern,
Will we save Homo sapiens,
Watching the world turn.

Course

Course of Human History Ron AI

The course we are on is self-destructive and must
be changed. It will take more than double speak or
even love. It will require a fundamental change in
the way we behave, sacrifice and understanding.
