Trash

Not to be rash,
but throw out the trash.
Clean up for the new year,
especially, what you fear.

Clutter we accumulate,
mostly really second rate,
don't need most of it at all,
may be Earth's downfall.

We all want to update,
upscale and so on.
But do we really need,
a chemically perfect lawn?

For some things,
we view as beautiful,
to show off to others,
are not Earth's druthers.

Our minds are a clutter,
with fears that are not real.
It's time that we cleaned house,
throw out the bad spiel.

Downsize in everything,
and you will save the world.
Tomorrow will look much better,
with natural splendor unfurled.

Closer Look Reveals Major Damage

We are up to our ears in trash. Trashy thoughts and
excess wants that are not real needs, destroying the
earth in the process. I don't do New Year's resolutions.
But we all should downsize rather than upgrade. If we
do upgrade, make it simpler and more efficient.
