Dreary Day

Rain, on this dreary day, come, wash all my blues away.

Hide my tears, and my shame,

Wash my sorrow from this window pane.

I'm on the inside, looking out,

But I'm cold and dreary, inside out.

Dark and dreary,

Still, my heart.

Plunge it deep into my art.

Until the sun shines again.
